I'm glad we have a local entertainment website however why are the colors of something called big fun so sedate and lackluster. Shouldn't the colors used generate something other than soothing as an emotion. Take a look at color theory and you will find that you covered your website with colors used in spas.
Black: self-confidence, power, strength
Blue: calming, lowers blood pressure, decreases respiration
Green: soothing, relaxing mentally as well as physically, helps those suffering from depression, anxiety, nervousness
Violet: suppresses appetite, provides a peaceful environment, good for migraines
Pink: used in diet therapy as an appetite suppressant, relaxes muscles, relieves tension, soothing
Yellow: energizes, relieves depression, improves memory, stimulates appetite
Orange: energizes, stimulates appetite and digestive system
Red: stimulates brain wave activity, increases heart rate, respirations and blood pressure

I would have to agree with faerie. Fun to me is bright and vibrant. A different color scheme could scream "fun" moreso than the colors that are being used now.

Wink The font for HOME, CULTURE EVENTS, et al needs to be BOLDER. I agree with faerie and Kayler, RED HOT will make them POP!

Um, we don't have mountains here....it makes the site look like its for some town up north.
Why don't we have something that looks more local? Like some swamp or bayou scenery...

I also agree that the colors are sleepy
It would also be nice to upload a picture of my own as an avatar......or add some new ones....people are using the same few good pics.

I think new avatars would be great! These are a bit old fashioned lookin. They even look faded.

I think you should remove Southdown and replace it with Gumbo Festival.

This is about the front page poll.........Southdown should not be on there b/c it's not a festival. The bay area has the Gumbo Fest and that should be put on there
