I don't know how I really feel about telling sins to a priest. If you are able to talk to GOD while praying, why can't you just tell him your sins then? Why is it necessary to tell a man (and by that I mean a priest who is as human as you and me) your sins? Many priests sin all of the time. I'm very uncomfortable talking to them about private issues. How do you feel about this topic?

Amen Sister! I agree. My god can hear my confessions from anywhere. I don't think we need a middle man in the sin business. BTW, I am catholic.

I am Catholic too. I do not go to confession because I refuse to talk to a priest that has a 98% chance of being a bigger sinner than me.

I'm in agreement. You shouldn't have to tell your 'sins' to a priest. You should confess them to God. But when you sin against a person, you should confess to that person.
