Explain to me how the Nation’s highest civilian award which recognizes a person for an especially meritorious contribution to the security or national interests of the United States, or to world peace, or to cultural or other significant public or private endeavors should be given to a person for living on a cockfarm. I’m against legalized cockfighting but I don’t share in your belief that living on this farm somehow grants you meritorious service. You are a true artist in your own mind so go in peace.

faerie, Because my life fits the description in your last post. That is why I believe I am a Presidential Medal Of Freedom candidate. My life's mission is to make cockfighting illegal in the world for humanity and destroy the root of war. My civil and human rights were violated as a child on a legalized cockfighting farm (the root of war). The message of my paintings came from GOD via an angel in an out-of-body experience when I was 13 years of age. The message of my paintings and light source is to make cockfighting illegal in the world for humanity. PEACE. Robert Dan (Danny) Gray Jr.

It's good that you are trying to make cockfighting illegal but what is a Medal going to do? Why must you be compensated materialisticly for being brought up in conditions that are considered unjust today? And while we're busy handing out Medals to you why don't we hand some out to every child that was beaten by their parents, every child that was molested in church, or even every child born in a war-torn country, etc, etc. Plenty of Medals to go around, don't you think, but is it really going to solve anything?

So you're saying that all war begins with cockfighting and you should be commended for being raised around it. I'm quite sure war has been going on far longer than cockfighting. I can see how it would be a contributor to inspiring a fighting mentality but to go as far as saying it's the root of war, then I would have to disagree. The same could be said about bullying in school. I find greed to be the "root of war".

brush, I don't believe greed is the root of war. I was taught at Vandebilt Catholic High School by Brother Alfred Kolb that the root of war is when humans mimic and think like animals. Yes, animals have been fighting each other before war. That proves the root of war is when humans mimic and think like animals. PEACE. Robert Dan (Danny) Gray Jr.

You do have a point there about it tracing back to animal behavior but...Anyway, I wish you well. Your hearts in the right place.
